Jabiru Pty Ltd (ABN 54101631421) trading as NCAPP Australia (collectively, us, we, or our) is committed to protecting the personal information that our clients provide to us in connection with the product and service owned and operated by the NCAPP. This privacy policy will tell you how we collect, use, disclose, store, secure, and dispose of the personal information our clients provide to us.


Personal Information

We may collect, use, store, and transfer different kinds of personal information as reasonable necessary to provide the NCAPP.


The types of personal information that we may collect include: identifying information, such as name and data of birth; contact details such as email address, home address and telephone numbers; financial information; technical data (such as IP addresses); usage data and web analytics (such as how you use our the NCAPP); and sensitive information (including health information).


We only collect sensitive information (including health information) where it is reasonably necessary for, or directly relates to, the functions or activities of the NCAPP.


Data in Relation to Minors

The nature of the service that we provide means that we may collect, store, and process personal information of children. We ensure that we have the necessary and appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard personal information in relation to children.


Collection of Personal Information

We collect personal information from our clients directly, including:

  • when a client provides, uploads, or edits data in accordance with the operation of the NCAPP, and
  • direct interactions, such as when completing a form on the NCAPP website or communicating via phone, email, or in person.
  • We sometimes collect personal information from third parties, such as when:


the NCAPP platform retrieves data from a third party for use in the NCAPP platform, or

a user provides data which can be used by the NCAPP platform for use with a third party, such as authentication or storage via Microsoft or Google.


Use of Personal Information

Each one of our clients is responsible for:

  • ensuring that it has obtained any required consents to provide NCAPP with personal information,
  • the accuracy and completeness of the personal information provided to NCAPP,
  • providing any required notices in the provision on personal information to NCAPP.


We will use the personal information our clients provide to us as necessary to carry out our business functions, including:

  • to supply the NCAPP,
  • to improve and develop the products and services we provide through the NCAPP,
  • to manage our business,
  • to communicate with you, and
  • where we need to comply with a legal obligation.


We may process your personal information, provided to us by our clients, without your knowledge or consent, where this is required or permitted by law.


Disclosures of Your Personal Information

We only disclose personal information to third parties where it is reasonably necessary to supply the NCAPP, or where we are required or authorised by law to do so.


In providing the NCAPP, we may disclose your personal information to third party providers who provide integrated solutions, such as Office 365 or other online services.


The privacy policies of third parties may be inconsistent with the NCAPP’s privacy policy, and the privacy standards of third parties cannot be guaranteed. However, we take care to only engage the services of reputable service providers that take data safety and security seriously.


Data Retention and Storage

NCAPP is committed to keeping the personal information that we hold secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical and electronic procedures to safeguard information and protect it from misuse, loss, or unauthorised access.


We will only retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including in order to satisfy any legal requirements.


Your Legal Rights

Under certain circumstances, you have rights under the Privacy Act in relation to your personal information. You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to update and/or correct it, subject to certain exceptions. If you wish to access, correct, or obtain a copy of your personal information, please contact contact your organisation in the first instance. We may charge a small administrative fee for the provision of your personal information.


Complaints and Contact Details

The NCAPP is intended for use by education organisations.


Where the NCAPP is made available through an organisation (e.g. school, archdiocese, governing body, or government), that organisation is responsible for the accuracy and quality of the personal information it provides to us.


If you believe there could be an error in the personal information provided to NCAPP, or would like a copy of your personal information, please direct your data privacy questions/requests to the relevant organisation.


We are not responsible for the privacy or security practices of any other organisation.
